PROPHETIC WORDS ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

Dr. Charles Price

Dr. Price was a mentor and very close friend of Demos Shakarian. He was a brilliant man in the eyes of the world and one of the most famous evangelists of his era. He prophesied about the Fellowship:
"Ordinary men and women. People in shops and offices and factories. . ."
Demos could hear Charles Price's words as clearly as though he were sitting again across the lunch table: "You will witness one of the major events foretold in the Bible. Just before Jesus returns to earth, God's Spirit is going to descend on all flesh."
"Laymen," Dr. Price insisted, "would be His most important channel - not the clergy, or the theologians, or the great gifted preachers, but men and women with ordinary jobs in the ordinary world."
When Dr. Price first began to say these things, five, six, even seven years ago during the war, Demos scarcely listened. It seemed impossible that untrained people could have the same impact as a great evangelist like Charles Price himself.

What an irresistible force it could be if hundreds - thousands - of such men were to band together to spread this kind of Good News all over the world. . .!
"The only part I'd ever play, Dr. Price, would be to sponsor an evangelist like you." said Demos.
He shook his head. "It won't happen like that. Not through professional preachers. 'All flesh,' that's what Isaiah tells us. This is going to happen spontaneously - all over the world - to ordinary men and women - people in shops and offices and factories. I won't live long enough to see it, but you will. And, Demos, when you see it, you'll know that the time of Jesus' Coming is very near."

Dr. Mordecai Hamm

Dr. Mordecai Hamm, the great southern preacher and evangelist, who introduced Billy Graham to Christ and who facilitated the conversion of 10,000 Baptist ministers, sought out Demos at his hotel in Houston. Upon meeting with Demos, whom he had never met or spoken with, Dr. Hamm excitedly relayed a message he had received from God:
"Demos, I know more about the Fellowship than you do."
"How can that be?"
"God gave me a revelation of the last days. It is the laymen that will reach the world."
"Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowshiplnternational is God's instrument to awaken laymen - the sleeping giant of evangelism."
A chill went through Demos. The words were almost identical to what Dr. Charles Price had said!
